Walk the road less traveled...

The Grand Canyon is by far one of the most vast and magnificent wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon is easily Arizona’s most distinguishable landmark – and a natural wonder that you simply have to see to believe. Stretching 277 miles from end to end with its steep and rocky walls descending more than a mile to the canyon’s floor, where the wild Colorado River traces a swift course southwest.

You can reach Grand Canyon National Park from main entrances on the South Rim – including the South Rim’s eastern entrance – and the North Rim.

Whether you stop at the canyon for an hour or stay for a week, you’ll have plenty of ways to enjoy some adventure, recreation, or just great views. Here are some just to name a few:

  • Grand Canyon Skywalk: Visit the glass bridge walkway at the Grand Canyon West Rim. Walk 4000 feet above the Grand Canyon floor and look down through 2.5 inches of crystal-clear glass.Stand on the edge of an engineering marvel that extends 70 feet over the Grand Canyon’s rim and weighs 1.2 million pounds.
  • Guided Tours around the rim: Explore the Grand Canyon with a guided tour or ride – on a bike, on foot or perched atop a friendly mule.
  • Air Tours: See the canyon from high above with a helicopter or airplane tour.
  • Hiking: From easy rim hikes to rigorous multi-day backpacking trips, Grand Canyon hiking has something for everyone.
  • Rafting the Canyon: Gain a whole new perspective on the Grand Canyon. Choose from motorized or oar-powered expeditions ranging from four days to two weeks.
  • Jeep and Van Tours: Join an off-road trip or travel by van to viewpoints along the canyon rim. Tour the park with local guides and learn about human history, wildlife, geology and folklore.
  • One Day River Raft Trips: One-day river raft trips on the Colorado River are available below the Glen Canyon Dam.
  • Mule Trips - North and South Rim: Taking a mule ride at the Grand Canyon is a century old tradition. Mule trips into the canyon - as well as rides through the park's woodlands to scenic canyon overlooks - are offered on both the North and South Rims
  • Accommodations: Would you love to stay in Historic lodges, or how about a relaxing hotel, or maybe a rugged campground? The Grand Canyon has a wide range of places to stay – but you have to book early.
Which adventure would you choose?
